I met beautiful Carrington when I went to her hospital room to take her first photos when she was barely 1 day old! I met Laura & Chad that day, and felt so blessed just to meet them and their sweet baby girl. I got some great pictures of her that day, so they asked me to do some of her at 3 months! We did lots of cute outfit changes and were able to capture some super sweet moments with her. Love this baby girl!!

I had such a great time with the Brown family at the cotton fields. It ended up being a super hot September day, but these kids braved through it and we got some precious shots of them. Love this family! Enjoy!

Candice & John asked me to come out and do some photos of their first born baby, Evan! Isn't he cute? There is nothing sweeter than seeing new parents and their first baby. It reminds me of when I had my Jared, and everything was so new and exciting and terrifying all at the same time! Candice & John are such a sweet couple and are AMAZING parents!! After a co-worker of mine did hospital photos of this precious baby girl, her parents Teaha & Bryan asked me to come out to their home and do a few more shots. Cotton Fields Mini Sessions

I just love a field of that fluffy white stuff, so I was thrilled to be able to do several mini sessions in the Cotton this month. Here are a few from each of my sessions, and a few of my kids too. :)

First up, Kaylee Hester! What a little doll she is, and so sweet! She couldn't help herself from picking the cotton, it was too cute!

Next up, Connor & Makena Matheny! They are the spitting images of their parents, and they are just so gorgeous!! I had so much fun playing with them in the fields.

Lastly, The Lizzi Family! This sweet family lives out in Atoka and has a cotton field practically in their backyard. I am so jealous!! Love this family!

This past weekend I had a fun shoot with 5 year old James at Memorial Park. The weather was gorgeous and I just followed James around while he had fun exploring around. I met this sweet family at Methodist Hospital last week after the birth of their baby girl, and I was able to do their hospital newborn pictures. I was so honored when they asked me if I could do some family pictures for them, as well! Andrea and Joseph sure have some beautiful kids, and they were ready to jump in and start posing. They made my job very easy! Grandma & Grandpa are going home tomorrow, and only make it in town a few times a year, so it was extra sweet that I was able to capture this precious moment with their family. I look forward to doing more pictures of this family in the near future!

Wells Hope Kellum (and big sis Collins, too!)

I ran into an old high school friend while working at the hospital, so after taking her hospital pictures we decided we must do more!! Wells Hope is the third of three beautiful girls! She is just the sweetest natured baby, too! We were able to do all kinds of cute, fun poses and just play with her. Big sis Collins joined in after her nap, and I captured her playing in her room and being the wonderful big sister that she is! Biggest sister, Hylan, was at school so we weren't able to get any photos of her, but hopefully soon!! Thanks again, Nicki, for letting me come "play" at your beautiful home! A newborn photographer's dream! :)

A pre-sunset shoot at the Sunflower Fields with my sweet friend Angela and her darling daughters Marlee & Abigail. These two girls are mighty photogenic, I must say! I took over 100 photos of them and it was really hard to narrow it down. I love the way the sun put a beautiful glow on everyone. Such a fun evening shoot!! I love these pictures and this precious family. If only we could have gotten Bob to come out... ;)

My father-in-laws brother Teddy and his family, wife Betty and her son Brandon, were included in my most recent family session. Brandon was in town for the weekend, and so I jumped at the chance to get some photos of them all together! We used the Japanese Gardens in Bartlett and the scenery was just gorgeous! It was a hot August day, so by the end of it we were all a sweaty mess, mostly me, but I was able to capture some sweet moments with this wonderful family. I recently ran into an old coworker of mine from AT&T, Venita Williams, and when I found out that she had just had a baby, well, I just HAD to do the pictures for her!! She has two older boys, and this was her surprise baby girl! Morgan Chanel is just so beautiful, and she did so good on the shoot. Her two big brothers were my assistants and helped me SO much! Venita had a great setup in her bedroom and I was able to capture all of these shots there! Enjoy!

Today I had the pleasure of doing newborn pics for my sweet friends Melissa & Craig Jacks! Their beautiful daughter Marleigh was born two weeks before my daughter Lila, and they have been best buddies ever since. Jesse looks SO much like Marleigh, I can't believe it! He was just a perfect baby throughout the whole shoot! Wide awake part of the time, and then sound asleep for the rest of it. I could have taken pictures of him all day...

Eugene and I met the Rushton's about three years ago when they joined our Connection Class at Faith. They were pregnant with their Daughter Chloe at the same time that we were due with Lila. They have become dear friends of ours and our kids just adore their kids! I was so blessed to get asked to photograph their sweet children. Leslie Reid Lloyd is an old friend of mine, so it was so much fun to see her today and her three kids Reid, Luke, & Libby Claire! We spent the morning in Arlington letting the kids have fun and capturing some great shots in the process. The boys were so good at providing impromptu poses, especially Luke who was ALWAYS ready for me! At one point, I was snapping away so feverishly that I didn't notice a metal clothing rack and jabbed my eye into it. My black eye was worth it! This morning I headed out to The Grove at Red Oak Lake to photograph Renee Mallady and her sweet dog Tiger. Tiger is 15 years old and has been a sweet companion to Renee for all of these years! We enjoyed a morning stroll around the beautiful lake and I was able to capture some sweet shots of Renee and Tiger. Sweet Friends: The Essary Family

I have known Kim & Jason Essary for over 20 years, and so it was monumentally exciting today to have the opportunity to photograph their entire family. They have four beautiful children- Elizabeth, Will, Rachel & Katelynn. Jason works at Rhodes College, so we found it highly appropriate to do our photo shoot there. The campus is incredibly gorgeous so it was not difficult to find some beautiful backdrops for our family shots. Thanks Kim & Jason for allowing me the opportunity to do this.. Today I had the privilege to take photos of Walter and Jamar Hudson, ages 10 and 8 respectively. These kids were the utmost of professionals. They even brought their own props and all!! We had so much fun wandering around Tom Lee Park, then we headed up the steps and wandered around some of the back streets of downtown Memphis. The weather was hot, but these kids, along with their Aunt Stacy, were troopers!! Thanks to all of you for bearing the July heat with me! The pictures turned out awesome! :)

The Hawkins Family...and baby Ethan makes 6!

Today I had the pleasure of photographing one week old Ethan Hawkins, his parents Shannon & Josh, and siblings Elijah, Ella & Emory. It was a HOT July Memphis day, but the kids remained upbeat and told jokes throughout the shoot. Shannon & Josh are such a beautiful couple and I couldn't help but admire them and their ability to wrangle their four kids like it was nothing. I was taking notes, trust me! Saying goodbye to the Campbell's....

Missy & Michael Campbell are such sweet friends of my husband and I. Their son Tucker and my son Jensen met over a year ago at church and quickly became best friends. They've spent the last year in preschool together and are practically inseparable. Anyone at church who knows one certainly knows the other. The Campbell's are moving this weekend to Oklahoma, and although we are happy for them and wish them well in their new home, we are bracing to miss them terribly!! We did this little photo shoot today as a sweet memory of our children's friendship. I also took the liberty to do take some shots of the Campbell's beautiful daughter Savannah and my daughter Lila. I love you Missy & Michael and I will always treasure your friendship.

Today was my first session in my new business venture, and it was a pleasure taking photos of sweet Jaxon and beautiful Kaylee! They were such a delight and I was able to capture them as they played and ran around. A train even came by and I was able to get the expressions on their sweet faces!
